Commemorative Recognition Program

As a donor to the Spotlight on the Future Capital Campaign, there are a variety of recognition opportunities available. We have established a Commemorative Recognition Program, as a meaningful way to honor and recognize loved ones, living or deceased, and perpetuate the name of an individual, a family, a business or an organization for years to come. Gifts of these amounts may be pledged over a three- to five-year period and provide a broad range of giving opportunities, enabling donors at all levels to participate in this exciting fundraising project.

Facilities Recognition Opportunities

Donors who give at the levels listed below will have an opportunity to name specific elements within the Performing Arts Center. The commemorative name will be handsomely displayed in or at the entrance to the designated space, and will appear on a plaque in the lobby if desired by the donor.

Suggested Ways of Giving

There are many opportunities available to you to help the Tri-County Performing Arts Center Project, while gaining income tax benefits for yourself. To make your gift most effective, please consider one of the following.

Cash

Cash gifts are the most common campaign gifts and may be pledged over a three- to five-year period. A pledge often enables you, as a donor, to contribute a larger gift if it is spread over a longer period of time. And, because charitable gifts typically and currently qualify for federal tax deductions, the real out-of-pocket cost of a cash donation is usually much less than its face value.

Appreciated Stocks, Bonds, and Real Property

Gifts of appreciated stocks, bonds, or real property can provide an even greater tax benefits than a cash gift of equal value. Under current tax law, you may be able to take a charitable deduction for the full fair market value of the property, while avoiding capital gains taxes. You also may be allowed to deduct the full fair market value of the property up to 30% of your adjusted gross income for the year.

Life Insurance

This may provide an easy way to make a substantial gift. You may be one of the fortunate people whose life insurance policy has outlived its original purpose. You may be able to assign your policy to Village Productions whether it is paid up, partially paid up, or a new policy.

Gifts Through a Will or Trust

While current gifts are most needed at this time, you are not limited to this form of giving. By making a bequest to Village Productions in your Will, you can help ensure the future of quality performing arts resources for our area. Or, you may consider leaving your assets in Trust, assigning the income to one or two beneficiaries, and the Trust principal to Village Productions.

In-Kind Goods or Services

Village Productions will gratefully accept certain types of in-kind donations of services or supplies that may assist us with the Capital Campaign, building renovation or fit-out, or with ongoing building operations and programming. Please contact us to discuss your in-kind donation.

We urge you to consult your own legal or tax counsel to determine which type of giving is best for you, so that you may receive the maximum benefit for your objectives while supporting the Tri-County Performing Arts Center Project.
