Appointments Preferred; Walk-ins Welcome. Contact rebecca@villageproductions.org or call 610.970.1199 for an audition
appointment. Please arrive approximately 15 minutes before your
scheduled audition time to complete an audition application and bring
your CALENDAR
to
note rehearsal conflicts on your audition
sheet.
Audition
Preparation: Auditions
will consist of vocal and dance auditions, and cold readings from the
script. Please prepare 16 bars of a ballad and 16 bars of an up-tempo
number, and bring a copy of your sheet music for the accompanist. This
production of The Wiz will
focus on hip-hop style of
dancing. Please wear
comfortable clothing that allows you to move.
Rehearsals/Performances: Rehearsals begin in mid-March and will be
flexible based on cast availability (generally Sunday afternoons or
evenings, and 1 or 2 weeknights per week, depending on the role). Performances are June 4 – 21, 2009
(Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings; Sunday matinees).
