Ways to Register
Students will create a short example of their work, presented the last week of the session. Classes are
appropriate for new students and for returning students to continue enhancing their skills.
SKILL-BUILDING CLASSES
Theatre Arts and Crafts (Grade 3-6)
Sundays 2 pm to 3 pm
January 15th - March 11th, 2012
Have you ever wanted to make something out of ordinary everyday items? If you like to have a lot of fun and let your imagination go wild then this is just the class for you. Join Properties Master Tony Giruzzi as he teaches you how to take everyday items and turn them in to fantastic props and pieces of art. During this 9 week session each week will have a different theme and involve working with different materials as we create works of art. At the final 9th class, we will have an open invitation "art gallery" showcase displaying what our imaginations have created.
Exploring Drama
Mon 5 – 6 pm (K– Grade 1)
Mon 6 – 7 pm (Grades 2 – 4)

In a collaborative and exploratory atmosphere, the instructor will guide students on an exciting
journey of inquiry, creativity, and expression while developing skills such as focus,
characterization, stage vocalization, creative movement, and teamwork. Students will use
improvisation, theater movement, drama games, and vocal expression to observe themselves
and the world around them.
Getting Ready to Sing (Grades 3 – 7)
Thursday 6 – 7pm
January 12th – March 8th, 2012

This class focuses on early vocal technique and ear
training for the developing voice, and is perfect for
young students with an interest in private voice lessons
in the future. The class covers singing, breath control, expanding your
range, developing your ear, diction, phrasing, and song interpretation,
with an emphasis on technique for the solo voice.
Performance-Based Classes
Act I Players Children’s Theater Troupe (Grades 2 - 4)
Sunday 12N - 2pm
January 15th – March 11th, 2012
Tuition $185; Materials Fees $15
Act I Players is a project-based performance troupe for our
youngest thespians in 2nd through 4th grades, and is
appropriate for those who are new to theater as well as those with
experience. No audition is required to join the Act I Players. Programs in the past have included
The Emperor's New Clothes, Little Red Riding Hood and Thumbelina. Members are encouraged
to return for multiple sessions which will be scheduled throughout the year. Members will have
the opportunity to appear on-stage by participating in the casting process, or may work
backstage as part of the production crew (stage manager, stage crew, props, scenery, costumes,
etc.), or both. At the end of each session, the Act I Players will perform their show for friends and
family for a modest ticket price.

Philadelphia Improvisational Comedy Troupe

Back by popular demand, Philly’s professional improv troupe returns to the Tri-PAC! Each show, the N Crowd plays a series of games and scenes based on suggestions from the audience. There are no scripts, no props, and nowhere to run!
Since April 2005, The N Crowd has performed 90-minute shows on a weekly basis. In addition to the Tri-PAC, the N Crowd has appeared at Eastern University, Ursinus College, the Richmond Improv Festival, the North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival, Bethlehem’s First Night (2008 & 2009), the Philadelphia Improv Festival (2005 through 2010), as well as the Philadelphia Fringe Festival (2005, and 2007 through 2010).
The N Crowd was selected by Fox 29’s Hot List as the Best Comedy Club in Philadelphia in 2008 and finished 2nd place in the same category in 2009. Currently they perform at the Actors Center at 257 North 3rd Street, Philadelphia.
